How I build good relationship with my students
In my opinion an excellent relationship between a tutor and her/his trainees is built on a solid basis of observance, mutual understanding and confidence. To efficiently measure students' needs and desires, the teacher has to originally understand students and where they are coming from. The tutor needs to be the first to unlock great interaction, as not many moms and dads and children will show that effort. She/he should also want to express her/his personal expectations to the students; having a sincere mindset towards her/his students and showing an interest for both their study and their lives is necessary when doing this. In case both the teacher and students understand each other's goals and points of view, the building elements of mutual trust are developed. The students and teachers strive for and are worthy of trust as human beings and identities; tutors also strive for trust in the expert meaning however must beware the way they go about it. As a teacher, I will take a position of authority, but I do not desire to be an autocratic or despot. I will also be able to be a good friend and a trusted person to a number of my trainees, but I do not want to cross over the border of professionalism.
The secrets of a good teacher
I believe that to promote study in the very best method possible, the tutor should be delighted about the material being learned, even when her/his students aren't. The tutor has to be the trainer for the students, and mention the advantages about each student's activity in a sincere method, along with positive criticism. She/he must want to hear and compromise, however be decisive in her or his guarantees and decisions.
A teacher is not just a tutor however a lifelong learner. Therefore, she/he has to also keep to construct her/his state of professional understanding, taking additional courses, improving her or his level and attending seminars and forums with colleagues to exchange ideas and theories and discover new things to offer her/his students the latest details available.
My viewpoint of teaching is based upon what I understand and have experienced at this point in my career. I make sure that my mentor philosophy will change as I discover more as a young expert. That is one of the presents of being human being; we often make errors, or discover something new, and make a change for the better. I am thrilled about the future opportunities.
